Meet the Jock(S)

With a memorable name derived from an identity crisis singer / guitar player Spencer Bennett had in high school, Former Jock is the newest rock outfit on the scene in Seattle. Bringing together the talents of Bennett, bassist Jeff Harder, and drummer Adrian La Reyna, Former Jock has evolved from a one man project into a band bursting at the seams with introspective lyrics, big catchy choruses, and loud punchy guitars. It’s a shot in the arm of an old favorite in the Northwest.

Spencer is obnoxiously tall for a front man and can’t help but break mic stands on the regular.

Because of his love for the Gallagher brothers, he refers to his writing as, “American Britpop.”

The Lord of the Low End. The Squirrel Master. The Jeff.

He hears words in clips and phrases. He thinks sick like ginger ale. He swallows rinds that leave him empty inside.

He is not allowed to have a mic on stage.

As the Drum Line Captain in High School, he has achieved Former Jock status.
